In August of 2021, the Chicago icon Paulina Market held its first annual Homebrewers’ Battle in conjunction with the launch of Butcher Brew, Paulina’s house lager we are proud to brew. It was an open-air street festival complete with ice sculptures, face painting, and Paulina Market’s signature meats. Attendees spent the day sampling food, beer, and sunshine, while voting on which brews were their favorites; the top two brewing teams were awarded the opportunity to brew on professional-grade equipment here at Temperance Beer Company alongside our head brewer, Mike VanCamp.

We're tapping both "Shake n’ Steak,” a Vanilla Milkshake IPA made by Rick and Danny Podkowa and "Lucky Bird,” an American Pale Ale from Mark Egeland on Saturday, March 26 at 6 pm. Goodstuff Eats will be cooking up Paulina Market sausages, of course. Paulina’s Finest: Draft Debut is not to be missed!
